I keep trying to figure out which movie ends with the hero riding alone across rugged (hillside?) terrain. It is shot from above out of a helicopter following right over the top of the rider. The soundtrack over all of this is awesome- like Magnificent Seven awesome. I just can't seem to remember the rider, the movie name- or any of the actors, or even the premise.
Any lights on at your place?

Howdy Pard!!
You may possibly be thinking about the ending of the Clint Easwood film, Pale Rider, when the preacher is riding off into the snow covered hills.

I have found the title... believe it or not. It was actually an easy one. The scene is actually the beginning- the ending has the same music; but is a rather forgettable ending.
And the movie is... wait for it... James Garner in... Dual at Diablo. You can see the opening sequence on youtube- the movie is also there for free.

That's a good movie. Isn't Sidney Poitier in that movie also?

Howdy Cahill.
Yep, James Garner plays an army scout, Sydney Poitier plays a fancy dressed gambler, who breaks horses for the army and Dennis Weaver plays a man, who James Garner has rescued his wife from the Apaches. A good film!!
