Just suppose it's 1875 and you are western bound. You have just crossed the Missouri River
at Independence and you have a decision to make. Do you head northwest on the Oregon
Trail or southwest on the Sante Fe Trail. If you go southwest you can turn south into the
vastness of Texas at Fort Dodge. Are you set on a gold or silver camp, or ranching. Maybe
your fixin' to be a Lawman. Either way you have a good 600 miles across the Great Plains
before reach the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
